Most of the work we do and many of the friends we make as photographers happens while sitting at our computer.  We edit your images to look their best, upload them to our sites, write blogs and in between work we make photographer friends from around the world.  Sometimes we organize get togethers and meet each other.  In fact, Sarah and I have been to many of these gatherings. 

One gathering we never got to attend was the Minnesota/Northern crew.  We have plenty of friends that go regularly - Johnny, Christina and Julie. 

Julie died Wednesday night while on a hike.  Apparently she and another girl, 17 years old, waded in to wash up after their hike and the young girl lost her footing.  Julie tried to hold both the rock and the girl and both girls were carried over a waterfall and into the gorge below.

I never “met” Julie but I had many conversations with her.  I exchanged emails, messages and thoughts on photography.  She was very kind to everyone and had the sort of personality you wish everyone had.  Even though we were only virtual friends, this has affected me the last day or so since I found out.  I am devastated that I could hear from someone on Tuesday and Wednesday night they are gone forever.   Don’t forget to go hug your loved ones.  We all remember this stuff after tragedys but don’t forget how you feel when you lose someone.  Live THAT way.

Ok, as a photographer we get all kinds of requests - some we can help with (who’s a good DJ, what videographers in Syracuse rock?)  Some we just have NO idea - like chairs.

So Stacey & Nathan are looking for chairs.  Chairs that resemble this:

This is what they want - but not for $10+ per seat for 130 seats.  If anyone can help them, post here or email me matt@pictureinfinity.com and I’ll pass along your suggestions.  Their wedding is in late Sept so they do still have some time.  Thank you!!!
