Trash the Dress photo session - the idea, the candidates

The Old Idea - Get married, get your dress dry cleaned, press it, put it away for 30 years.  Pull it out and your oldest daughter wears it on her wedding day (despite whatever in-vogue style she maybe had in mind?).

The New Idea - Get married, call your photographer (or us), schedule your dress trashing and have fun!  Get new, great photos of either yourself or you and your new husband having FUN getting down, dirty, wet, whatever it takes.

The Candidates - first and foremost, we are looking for real couples, real brides, etc.  We would rather get our super-cool clients the awesome images than work with someone who models for us, etc.  We want to show real women in real dresses.  If a bride of ours wants to trash a dress but not her OWN dress, we can probably find one to trash!

This idea is catching on in NYC, SoCal, Florida, New Orleans - and why should Syracuse always be the “last to know?”  We know!  Let’s do it!  Call or email us today and let’s trash a dress.

  1. Great post - hope you find the perfect gal! :) You inspired me to make a post on my blog about this today - I want my own trashed bride, too! If you’re a bride reading this: you seriously should let Matt trash your dress - you will have some amazing pictures - he is so talented! :)

  2. Hey Matt, I’d love to trash a dress!! Just not mine! (I’m a sappy, hopeless romantic who wants to keep my dress in the closet to show to my daughter someday.) But…could you let me know more about this, and what I’d do for this? How much would this cost me…and could you find me a dress? Thanks…Pam (Stern)

  3. Ooooh! Pam - we’d love to! We’ll find one! Let’s talk about it. Having our real PammyBride would be great!!

  4. Hey Matt, This is a great idea!!! I would do it but I’m not married yet!!! (not anytime soon either)…. I have some old prom dresses and an amazing boyfriend would that do? And how much $ would this set me back?

  5. Right now we’re actively recruiting models - those who want to be the first. The only “costs” are actual getting prepped costs. With your own dress already on hand, unless you do hair & makeup at a salon, there’s no cost from us. At the end of the session, you’ll get a full cd/dvd of the edited images and you can make your own prints or use our service to print. So that part would be up to you. :)

Email me - let’s talk more!

  6. I would definitely be interested in this, if you are still looking for people? Where are you based?
