Just a note for our brides and other bride-to-be’s: at the top of this site is some helpful wedding planning information, links to our clients (check out what they do, see if you like it, find out more info on some of the vendors our brides use), and other goodies.
My favorite is still Wedding Mapper which lets you create a wedding map for out of town guests - where all of the important places regarding your wedding are, where they can find food, etc. VERY helpful! If you create a wedding map for your wedding, email it to me! (if you’re one of our brides!)
Ok, I’m a day or two late with this so I feel bad. I told Tracie I would get photos up asap and I didn’t get them done. No excuse! I hope they forgive me.
Here are Tracie & Waylon’s wedding photo previews from their ceremony and reception at the very beautiful Celebrations in Ithaca.
The slideshow will transfer you to Pictage and the gallery.
We loved shooting for Julie & Michael. We shot Erin & Rich’s wedding as we’ve previously mentioned on the blog and it was so great seeing a lot of familiar faces - parents, friends, even some bridal party! I love seeing people we know and it’s a good time when they know what to expect from us as well. Julie and Michael’s wedding ceremony was at the Mexico Methodist Church and their reception was at the fabulous Borio’s! The outdoor shots at Borio’s are some of my favorites from this wedding - great place to photograph.
Ok, first of all back when Jessica was Miss Jessica instead of Mrs. Jessica she was telling us all these mean rotten things about her self & self image. Let’s correct that self-perception RIGHT NOW.
There. That ought to clear up any misconceptions - Jessica is a “smokin haut bride” (yes that’s the technical term). What do you think Jessica? That AIGHT?
Jessica & Jason were married Saturday June 16th 2007 at Basilica of the Sacred Heart in Syracuse. Their reception was at Drumlins. I shot Jessica & Jason’s wedding with Kristina from Photo Kisses and we had a great time with Letitia of Great Music Company, one of my absolutely favorite DJs of ever.
Ok, now let’s get to the rest of the previews from Jessica & Jason’s wedding!
Sarah and I shot two weddings Saturday - separately! This is odd for us but we managed just fine. We both chose a second shooter we wanted to work with so Sarah had Lisa Walsh with her for Tiffany and Don’s wedding. Tiffany & Don were married at Groton Community Church and had their reception at Tinelli’s Hathaway House in Solon. We’ve shot at the Hathaway House before but it was quite awhile ago! Their metal gazebo outdoors is something unique for sure (see the last photo).
Although Sarah & Lisa shot this wedding together, I will be doing the editing - Sarah always does album design & I always do photo editing. These previews from the wedding have me excited to get to the rest as I think they came out amazingly well! The first two shots are from Lisa, the rest are Sarah’s.
Today is Two-Day, the first time Sarah and I will split for weddings and *both* have one on the same day. While we both do solo weddings, we’ve never had a day where we were both going to separate weddings. Normally we book weddings together - and ALL of our newer packages have 2 photographers all day included. So this is almost-unique to us. We have this same situation one more time on August 18th. It’s a good thing for us - personal growth, gear growth (when you need 2 of everything and sometimes 4…) but I guess I felt like writing about it because it’s just … WEIRD!
My couple today is Jessica & Jason - they are going to be so much fun to work with! Their ceremony is at the extremely beautiful Basilica of the Sacred Heart in Syracuse. It’s a cathedral I have wanted to photograph in since I became a photographer, probably THE cathedral I have most wanted to photograph in. Jessica and Jason are both such great people AND I have the lovely & talented Kristina Ramanayake with me today as my second shooter (so I’m not completely alone!)
Sarah’s couple for the day will be Tiffany & Don. Their wedding is going to be held in the Groton/Cortland area with a fun reception at Tinelli’s Hathaway House. We met Tiffany & Don through one of last year’s brides, Stacey. Sarah will be bringing her friend & fellow photographer Lisa Walsh with her as well. They shot Tiffany’s bridal portraits together.
Well, we’re off! Check back later for some photos from BOTH great weddings!
Out of the area couples sessions are becoming more frequent for us. You may remember Julie & Michael’s session in Mexico on the water. We also went to Oswego with Kristin & Eric to do some shooting. Here are a few images from their couples session!
See, it’s in. Let’s do it. :) If you want to trash a wedding dress great! A prom dress? We can do that too!
Our portrait sessions start at $55 per hour but the first few of these we get signed on are going to be FREE Trash The Dress Sessions. We’ll treat you like a model - so you won’t pay, you’ll get the images on a cd and print rights to them. So come model for us!
So far TTD possibles: Amanda, Pam, Laura, Vicki? Who else?
